The Southeast Quail Study Group
(SEQSG) is comprised of over 100 wildlife professionals from state and federal agencies, universities, and private organizations. The group was formed in 1995 for the purpose of:
 
  • Identifying factors responsible for population declines of bobwhites and other associated early successional wildlife species.

  • Identifying gaps in knowledge about bobwhite population dynamics and ecology,

  • Developing and implementing solutions to habitat and population management problems.

  • Providing sound scientifically based information to stakeholders, administrators, and policy makers.

  • Developing and implementing solutions to specific bobwhite population, habitat and management problems, and

  • Perpetuating the tradition of the sport of wild bobwhite quail hunting.




The 2009 Annual Meeting of
the Southeast Quail Study Group
will be held March 24-26, 2009
in Columbia, SC at the
Columbia Marriott.  
This will be a joint meeting
with the Partners in Flight
Southeastern Working Group.

The Steering Committee meeting and
a Coordinated Bird Monitoring
Workshop will be held on
Tuesday, March 24.  

General sessions, technical
sessions, poster sessions,
committee meetings and
business meetings will be
Wednesday, March 25 and
Thursday, March 26.  
 
Commercial air service is
available to Columbia
Metropolitan Airport (CAE),
and shuttle service will be
available from the airport
to the Marriott.
